About us
About Ambrose Farm

Ambrose Farm is a family-run British farming business built around one simple idea: helping more people grow, hatch and enjoy outdoors.
What started with poultry and egg production has grown into something much broader. Today, we bring together products and experiences for people who enjoy growing their own food, keeping poultry, gardening and getting a little closer to where their food comes from.
From Our Farm to Your Home
We aren't a faceless online retailer. Ambrose Farm grew from real, hands-on farming, and that experience still sits behind everything we do.
From hatching eggs and poultry supplies to mushroom grow kits, fresh eggs and new growing products, we want to make trying something new straightforward and enjoyable — even if you've never done it before.
We particularly love products that create an experience.
There's something special about watching your first chicks hatch, seeing mushrooms suddenly appear from a grow kit, or growing something yourself that started with a tiny seed or plug.
Supporting British Farming
Wherever possible, we want Ambrose Farm to support British farming, British producers and other small businesses.
Farming isn't always easy, but we believe there is a real future in connecting farms directly with the people who buy, grow and enjoy their products.
That's why you'll also find us out and about at shows, markets and events, meeting customers face-to-face and sharing what we do.
More Than Just a Shop
Our aim is to build Ambrose Farm into a place for people who love the outdoors and enjoy growing, hatching, keeping and creating things themselves.
We're constantly developing new products, improving our existing ones and listening to the people who actually use them.
And if you ever need help, there's a real person behind the website. Whether you're waiting for your first eggs to hatch or wondering what to do with your mushroom kit, we're here to help.

When will my eggs be delivered?
All orders placed before 12pm (noon) are collected from our farm, packed fresh, and dispatched the same day via ROYAMAIL TRACKED 24HR. Orders placed after 12pm will be processed the next working day Monday to Friday.
Are the eggs fresh?
Yes – our duck eggs are picked fresh every morning and packed on the same day. This ensures you’re getting the freshest product possible, delivered quickly and safely to your door.
How are the eggs packed?
We take great care in packaging your eggs using protective, shock-absorbing materials designed to keep them safe in transit. Every box is packed by hand with attention to detail to reduce the risk of breakages.
What happens if some eggs arrive broken?
While we do everything we can to protect your order, sometimes accidents happen in transit. If any eggs arrive cracked or broken, please send us a photo of the damaged goods within 24 hours of delivery, and we’ll be happy to issue a refund or replace the damaged items.
Can I get a refund if I change my mind?
Unfortunately, we cannot accept returns or offer refunds for unwanted orders once they’ve been dispatched. This is because eggs are a perishable product, and we must ensure food safety and freshness at all times. However, we will always refund for any eggs that arrive damaged – just get in touch with us.
How should I store the eggs?
Duck eggs should be stored in the fridge for best results. They typically have a longer shelf life than chicken eggs – up to 3 weeks when refrigerated properly.
Can I cook with duck eggs like normal eggs?
Absolutely! Duck eggs can be used just like chicken eggs in all your favourite recipes. They’re especially loved by bakers for their rich yolks and ability to give cakes extra rise and moisture.
